Vlakhata (full name Vlakhata Ikossimias) is a traditional village located in the southern part of the island of Kefalonia. Still mainly a farming community, guests at Villa Jasmine will hear the bells of goats and sheep as the herdsman moves them along the lane to graze in neighbouring fields.
The village of Vlakhata is 15km from Argostoli and built on the slopes of Ainos mountain. Villa Jasmine is situated just 300m from the village which offers several restaurants and tavernas and - on the road that winds down to the village of Lourdas and on to Lourdas Beach - several more places to eat and drink, as well as supermarkets and specialist shops such as jewellers, local arts and ceramics.
